The core business of Qnovi GmbH is the improvement of technical development processes through the integration of the latest technologies from the field of artificial intelligence. Be it the automated evaluation of measurement and simulation data, or the use of neural networks to map complex processes very precisely and significantly faster than in real time. In the future, such models will be used more and more frequently in virtual development, as they offer the potential for automated optimization by means of intelligent "agents".
But data-based systems can also be used in finished products, for example in the process or operational monitoring of machines or technical systems. In addition to optical monitoring in combination with target-oriented image recognition, anomaly detection and based on this, failure prediction is also possible in certain areas of application by linking simple sensor data such as temperature or pressure signals.

Efficient use of conventional calculation software (CAE) to generate large amounts of data. Combination of simulation and measurement data into a valid overall data set. Ideal for building general-purpose networks, agents or digital twins.
Machine Learning
Training of neural networks and agents. Appropriate combination of subnetworks enables significant increase in prediction quality (feature engineering). Reproduction of very complex correlations with up to 1000-fold real time. Adaptation of pre-trained networks to a specific application using transfer learning.

ENH3RGIE
Reliable and Sustainable Energy for Critical Infrastructure and Remote Regions
The growing global demand for energy requires new solutions to ensure a reliable and as sustainable as possible energy supply. Independent of the plans to transform the global large-scale energy supply, solutions must also be found for poorer and remote regions, as well as for critical infrastructure. Both depend on resilient, flexible transitional technologies that allow for a gradual shift from energy systems based solely on fossil fuels to lower-carbon energy sources — while still functioning reliably at all times of day and under varying climatic conditions. This is precisely where the research project ENH3RGIE comes in. Together with Aquarius Engines and the German Aerospace Center (DLR), we are working to develop solutions for these challenges. The aim is to develop ammonia-powered multi-fuel generators that enable the flexible use of increasingly low-carbon fuels. In this way, the energy supply for critical infrastructure — from hospitals to communication networks — can be secured even in crisis situations. At Qnovi, our focus is on supporting and monitoring the development and operation of these systems through innovative engineering approaches. Funded by the European Union and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia as part of the EFRE/JTF in NRW 2021–2027.
Our Workflow
At the beginning of our collaboration, we offer a free initial consultation, during which we would like to get to know your company or team as well as your processes and products. Based on this conversation, we will prepare a customized proposal tailored to your specific requirements.
- Feasibility studies: We carry out a proof-of-concept (POC) over a period of two to four weeks, with costs ranging between €8,000 and €16,000. The goal is to demonstrate the added value of the AI solution in your specific case, both qualitatively and quantitatively, and thereby provide the best possible support for your investment decision.
- Project implementation: Either directly after the initial consultation or following the feasibility study, we can offer you full project implementation. Depending on your situation, we are also happy to collaborate with your internal development team or other service providers of your choice.
- Funding projects: In special cases, it may also be worthwhile to jointly apply for a funding project.
